Kerala Radicalisation Case: NIA Arrests Absconding PFI Cadre Moideenkutty P at Cochin Airport

- On Tuesday, the National Investigation Agency arrested Moideenkutty P, a resident of Kattipparuthi, Valancheri, Malappuram, after he arrived from the United Arab Emirates at Cochin International Airport.
- The accused had been absconding since the case was filed, fleeing soon after the September 2022 registration, NIA says he was on the run for over three years.
- Searches at Moideenkutty P's residence recovered incriminating documents, and investigators say the PFI used physical education to impart arms training, the agency said.
- The NIA has already chargesheeted 65 accused and will produce Moideenkutty P before the court following arrest procedures.
- Agency findings suggest the conspiracy aimed to train selected youths in weapons and fundraising for terror, with the purported objective of `establishing Islamic rule in India by 2047` and spreading `violent jihad` to dismember the country.
