Several gas stations are at a standstill this weekend on 12 and 13 September in Corsica, criticising the rise in fuel prices and the "distortion of competition" created, according to them, by the tariff cap set by the Total Group.
Since this Saturday morning, the Total stations of the Grand Ajaccio have experienced a very strong influx. The closure of Vito's independent gas stations prompts drivers to anticipate and refuel. Up to 40 minutes of waiting are observed in some stations.
Many of the island's Vito and Eni service stations closed their doors this Friday evening, until further notice. In particular, the firefighters denounce Total's tariff shield, which they consider to be weakening the independent stations.
