France faces a new extreme heat wave on Tuesday, and metrologists maintain 61 of the 96 continental departments alert orange heat. Temperatures will be between 36 and 40°C, with peaks of 41°C, especially in the central and western regions of the country.
The forecasted temperatures in these departments will range from 36°C to 40°C, and some peaks are expected at 41°C, confirmed the forecasters on Tuesday 7 July in the morning. By Wednesday, they anticipate a number of 40 departments in "high fire risk".
