Audi introduces new Aussie models to rev up sales
- Audi and SAIC unveiled the fully electric AUDI E5 Sportback at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025 as the first model from their new China-only AUDI brand.
- This launch follows a strategic collaboration aimed at rapidly developing electric vehicles tailored to Chinese consumers by combining Audi's engineering with SAIC's digital ecosystem.
- The AUDI E5 Sportback features dynamic proportions with a 4,881 mm length, up to 579 kW power output, a maximum 770 km CLTC range, and offers four all-electric drivetrains including rear-wheel and quattro options.
- Equipped with a 100 kWh battery, an 800V electrical system enabling 370 km range recharge in 10 minutes, advanced LiDAR-based AUDI 360 Assisted Driving, and a 27-inch 4K dashboard powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295, the E5 integrates cutting-edge technology.
- The E5 initiates Audi's new chapter in China, promising rapid market response and supporting further electric model launches in 2026 and 2027 under the AUDI brand focused on Chinese market needs and tech-savvy customers.
