- WIF developed the RNI over a three-year academic and policy exercise with input from Jawaharlal Nehru University and validation by the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai, anchored in dharma.
- The RNI is operationalised through seven dimensions, 15 aspects and 58 indicators, supported by methodological inputs from academic partners including Indian Institute of Management Mumbai, while Ram Nath Kovind said, `A country can be economically prosperous and yet remain irresponsible`.
- The ceremony concluded with the ceremonial release of the Responsible Nations Index report, marking the start of what World Intellectual Foundation called a long-term global conversation; Sudhanshu Mittal, Founder and Secretary of WIF, said the RNI represents a decisive move away from power-centric evaluations.
- Organisers said the RNI challenges reliance on economic size, military strength and technological advancement, warning irresponsible power can destabilise regions and burden neighbouring countries.
