Patients of the Frisian hospital group Frisius can log in to the patient portals again. These had been disabled as a precaution due to a vulnerability in the system used for them. Following a security update, they became available again on Sunday evening. Frisius has locations in Leeuwarden and Heerenveen, among others.
Several Dutch hospitals struggled with computer problems on Sunday, preventing patients from accessing their data. According to the Frisius MC in Leeuwarden, the problem lay in the security of the IT systems. Following a security update to the systems, that hospital's patient portals were accessible again on Sunday evening. However, the portals of other hospitals were still inaccessible on Sunday evening.
