Report on Global Water Resources: Worldwide Continents Are Drying Up

The global water cycle is becoming increasingly unbalanced. Extreme droughts and floods are the result. This is shown in this year's report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) on the state of global water resources, "State of Global Water Resources 2025," which was published today.

In its report on the water cycle, it points to a record drop in the flow of rivers and rivers, a continuous melting of glaciers and a decrease in the volume of water stored on the Earth's surface. Global warming by increasing evaporation and destroying glaciers gradually deprives us of a resource essential for life.
