Inflation in the country rose to 2.4% year-on-year in March. In Quebec, the increase was 2.9%. At the grocery store, prices continue to rise at a rate higher than inflation, or 4.4%, according to Statistics Canada. The price of fresh vegetables, in particular, grew by 7.8% year-on-year in March, after a jump of 4.1% in February.
