European governments should engage in dialogue with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, dissident Marya Kalesnikava said on Tuesday. Failure to do so would only strengthen Russian influence in Belarus, she added, according to Reuters. Belarusian authorities released and deported Kalesnikava in December last year after more than five years in prison.
