Freddie Mercury's unseen personal writings are to be published by his former lover Mary Austin, in a special new book in honour of his 80th birthday.

A new book by the former fiancée of Freddie Mercury will feature lyrics to the former Queen singer's unreleased songs.

The star left his house in Feltham, possessions and archive to Mary Austin following his death in 1991. She says the lyrics provide a window into his "brilliant, creative mind". The book will be released next September - the month the late singer would've turned 80.
