Led by the Institut Curie, in collaboration with the CEA, the FRATHEA project is financed by France 2030 and by the Île-de-France Region to the tune of 37 million euros. The objective: to install a very high energy electron beam (VHEE) irradiator at the heart of the Institut Curie hospital in Orsay and demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of FLASH-VHEE radiotherapy.
