Christophe Gleizes has been imprisoned in Algeria for seven months. The French sports journalist is serving a seven-year prison sentence for "apology of terrorism". A conviction, confirmed on appeal, which follows his arrest in May 2024, while he was investigating a kabyle football club. On Thursday 29 January, his supporters gathered, at the call of the NGO Reporters Without Borders, in the Bataclan concert hall in Paris.
The French sports journalist has been detained for seven months in Algeria. His parents and several great football names call for his release.
The ex-footballer has invited his counterparts, including the big names of football, to mobilize for the release of the French journalist, who is being held in Algeria.
