French authorities have seized nearly six tons of cocaine discovered by the French navy on a ship sailing off the coast of Africa. The volume of narcotics being smuggled is on the rise, with 45 tons of the drug already seized by maritime patrols this year, almost equaling last year's record amount, AFP reported on Wednesday, citing navy officials.
