4 Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Rams Police Cars in Quesnel
No injuries were reported after the driver tried to escape, and three police vehicles and the stolen truck were damaged, RCMP said.
On Thursday morning, Quesnel RCMP arrested four people after a stolen Ford F-350 rammed police vehicles in the parking lot of the Quesnel Recreation Centre during an attempted escape.
Officers located the white truck at approximately 5 a.m. after it was reported stolen earlier that morning from Hixon; Police approached the vehicle to apprehend the occupants.
No injuries were reported in the incident, though three police vehicles and the stolen Ford F-350 sustained damage when the driver rammed the units during the escape attempt.
Police released the three female passengers—a 29-year-old woman and two 15-year-old girls—pending further investigation, while the 31-year-old male driver remains in custody.
The driver will appear before the courts later today, Thursday, Sept. 10, to face charges regarding the incident, Sgt. said.
