Forza Horizon 6 Announces 2027 Release Date for PS5 Release, Will Come Alongside First Expansion
- Playground confirmed Forza Horizon 6 will arrive on PS5 on January 26, officially expanding the racing franchise to the console following its successful debut on Xbox and Xbox Series last year.
- IGN gave Forza Horizon 6 a 10/10 rating, praising the title's dense map and technical achievements, while Playground adapted its racing formula for a long-awaited setting in Japan.
- Players who pre-order the Premium Edition receive five days of early access and a pre-tuned Ferrari J50, while the game's first major expansion launches simultaneously on January 26.
- This release timing allows the title to launch outside the immediate release window of GTA, ensuring it avoids intense market competition while establishing a strong presence on PlayStation hardware.
- Playground intends to launch the racing title on PS5 shortly before releasing Fable, positioning the studio to maintain momentum across multiple platforms in early 2027.
