About 150 representatives attended as Xinhua and Greek partners called for deeper cooperation in culture, trade and emerging industries.
On Thursday, Xinhua News Agency, the Chinese Embassy in Greece, and the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia hosted a forum in Athens marking the 20th anniversary of the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership.
Lyu Yansong, editor-in-chief of Xinhua, said the partnership has deepened under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, yielding fruitful results in trade and investment cooperation.
About 150 representatives attended the forum, themed "The Beauty of Harmony: Coexistence through Integration," where Lyu noted the Xinhua Institute released a report titled "The Theory of Cultural Empowerment: China's Cultural Consciousness in Marching Toward High-Quality Development."
Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos called the anniversary a significant milestone, while former Greek Foreign Minister George Katrougalos noted the partnership's importance is growing amid profound international changes.
Chinese Ambassador to Greece Fang Qiu said the nations will strengthen strategic alignment, advancing cooperation in digital infrastructure and green transition while upholding a vision of civilization based on equality.
