Forum Communications agrees to purchase McKenzie County newspaper

Forum Communications Co. has agreed in principle to purchase the McKenzie County Farmer, a weekly newspaper based in Watford City, North Dakota.
This acquisition is part of Forum Communications' recent regional expansion that included adding seven newspapers earlier this year in North Dakota and Montana.
In North Dakota, Forum Communications owns newspapers in Dickinson, Grand Forks, Jamestown, and Fargo, where its headquarters are located.
The Watford City newspaper is currently co-owned by Steve Hallstrom and Scott Hennen of Flag Family Media, and sale details will be finalized in the coming months.
