The former secretary of state admitted that she emailed her office to notify for the strike of 2024 but assured that she had no knowledge. And she doesn't know why the minister withdrew her guardianship of INEM.
Cristina Vaz Tomé, former Secretary of State for Health Management, assures that she did not know about the strike at INEM in 2024 until it was already taking place. At the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry to the National Institute of Medical Emergency, the former governor explained that she was abroad and was not informed of the strike notice sent by the unions to the Ministry.
Raquel Duarte highlighted direct contact with the chief of staff who was sending him strike warnings, for example.
Cristina Vaz Tomé says that she was not informed about the strike announcements and that she only knew of the paralysis when she arrived in Lisbon and it was already going on. Affirmations were contested by the PS, Arri and IL.
Cristina Vaz Tomé stated in the ICC to INEM that she was not informed of any advance notice of strike, arguing that, although this information was sent to her chief of staff, it does not mean that she goes to the Secretary of State or to the minister. The former governor further assured:
