Former President Bill Clinton makes surprise stop in Big Timber
The former president ordered a strawberry milkshake and lingered 10 to 15 minutes before leaving, store owner Dawn Jackson said.
Last week, Former President Bill Clinton and Senator Adam Schiff made an unannounced visit to Cole Drug in Big Timber, surprising local customers and employees at the downtown pharmacy.
Store owner Dawn Jackson said the visitors ordered strawberry milkshakes and lingered for about 10 to 15 minutes without prior notice. "Nobody knew he was coming," Jackson said.
After departing the pharmacy, the group visited Country Crossroads, an antique store in Big Timber, where the high-profile guests were treated like any other customers.
It remains unclear what brought the politicians to Sweet Grass County. While a government plane landed in Butte on Sunday, MTN News has not independently confirmed if the aircraft is linked to the trip.
Cole Drug has a history of serving famous visitors, including Michael Douglas and Robert Redford, and despite the high-profile nature of the recent guests, Big Timber maintained its typically quiet atmosphere.
