Former player set to referee Brighton's Carabao Cup tie at Manchester United
Hallam has refereed five matches this season and will be assisted by Craig Taylor and Conor Brown, with Lewis Smith as fourth official.
On Tuesday, Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick will provide injury updates for Luke Shaw, Amad Diallo, Matthijs de Ligt, and Carlos Baleba ahead of Wednesday's Carabao Cup third-round match against Brighton at Old Trafford.
Midfielder Carlos Baleba, signed last month for around £70m, remains sidelined with an ankle ligament injury from pre-season; Carrick confirmed he will not feature against his former club Brighton.
Luke Shaw remains unavailable with an unspecified injury, while Matthijs de Ligt nears the end of his recovery from back surgery. Carrick stated regarding De Ligt's potential return, "We have to see."
Following a derby defeat to Manchester City that left United 13th in the Premier League, Carrick insisted his side "got to get back to winning football matches," noting the cup tie offers an immediate response opportunity.
Uncertainty surrounds Amad Diallo's return following a pre-season injury, while Manuel Ugarte remains sidelined for several months after a World Cup ligament injury. United travel to Fulham on Sunday before the international break.
