LPGA’s LOTTE Championship Moving to Kapalua Resort in 2027
The tournament will move to March and carry a $3 million purse as the LPGA adds a two-event Hawaii Swing.
- On Monday, the LPGA announced the 2027 Lotte Championship will be held at the Plantation Course at Kapalua, beginning March 18, 2027, with a 120-player field competing over four rounds.
- The Plantation Course previously served as a PGA Tour staple for 25 years, hosting the Sentry until April when the PGA Tour announced it would end its tournament presence on Maui.
- Golf drives roughly $3.4 billion annually into Hawaii's economy, and this marks the first time Kapalua has hosted an LPGA event since the 2008 Kapalua LPGA Classic won by Morgan Pressel.
- The Lotte Championship will feature a $3 million purse, with fans looking forward to "four days of high-level competition set against the stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean," said Kapalua Golf General Manager Alex Nakajima.
- Scheduling for March introduces a new two-tournament Hawaii Swing alongside the recently announced Nanea Cup, which showcases the sport's future by mixing 95 LPGA professionals with 25 collegiate golfers.
