Oaxaca, Oax., Miguel Sánchez Altamirano, former municipal president of Juchitán de Zaragoza, and Carlos Alberto de la Paz López, La Parka, were linked to an earlier trial for the crimes of aggravated extortion and public security acts of the state, reported Oaxaca's Attorney General's Office (FGE), Bernardo Rodríguez Alamilla.

A supervisory judge linked Miguel Sánchez Altamirano, alias “El Quetu”, former municipal president of Juchitán de Zaragoza, to trial on September 29, and Carlos Alberto de la Paz López, alias “La Parka”, for his probable responsibility for the crimes of aggravated extortion and against State security.
Both are indicated to have acted in complicity to cover up and promote the criminal activities of 'Los Cromos', a cell that functions as an operating arm of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) in the region.
