CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Funeral arrangements have been announced for former Rhode Island Gov. Ed DiPrete. DiPrete died at his Cranston home Tuesday while celebrating his 91st birthday with his family. He served as governor from 1985 until 1991 and as mayor of Cranston for seven years before that.
