A former employee of Cumberland County Emergency Medical Services has been indicted by the grand jury this week on charges of theft, misconduct and tampering, according to court records released Thursday morning.

Former Wilson County Emergency Management Agency (WCEMA) and Cumberland County EMS employee Adam Johnson was indicted by the Wilson County Grand Jury on May 11, 2026. Investigators allege he falsified timesheets to receive at least $117,108.63 for unworked hours, which included $4,482.17 from Wilson County and $112,626.46 from Cumberland County.
