José Serrano, who once served as Ecuador's Interior Minister, was deported by ICE on Friday -- and is accused of orchestrating the 2023 assassination of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio.
Extradition was announced by the President of the country. Daniel Noboa says that "it is his turn to arrive", in a reference to the trial of former Minister José Serrano.
