Former Angels infielder Luis Rengifo agrees to terms with Brewers, AP source says
- MLB.com first reported that former Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Milwaukee Brewers, a person familiar told The Associated Press.
- Following Monday's six-player trade that involved Andruw Monasterio and Anthony Seigler, Milwaukee's third-base vacancy was created, leaving the team without a proven regular at third.
- The versatile Rengifo has played 409 games at second, 199 at third, and last season he hit.238 with nine homers and 43 RBIs, producing career highs in games.
