Former 'American Idol' Contestant Arrested, Charged in Death of His Wife

Caleb Flynn, 39, former American Idol contestant, is accused of killing his wife, Ashley Flynn, 37, on Feb. 16 in Tipp City, Ohio, and faces murder plus two counts each of felonious assault and tampering.
Police say Flynn staged the scene by making the house look like a burglary before calling 911, and during an eight-minute 911 call, he sobbed that the garage door was wide open and someone broke in.
Court documents reviewed by Court TV show investigators allege Flynn used a 9mm handgun to fatally shoot Ashley and that the unborn baby was also killed.
Flynn appeared in court on Friday, pleaded not guilty, and his bond was set at $2,000,000; their two children were found asleep and unharmed, with a Feb. 22 celebration of life planned.
Caleb Flynn, 39, competed on season 12 of American Idol in 2013; Ashley, 37, a substitute teacher and church volunteer, will be honored in a Feb. 22 celebration of life.
