A strong forest fire ravages a natural reserve in the south-east of the Netherlands, where more than 300 firefighters and more helicopters intervene to limit flames. Fire, fed by drought and wind, has already destroyed about 100 hectares of vegetation and led to the evacuation of a nearby campsite.
The assistance of Brabant fire units to combat the Limburg wildfire is not at the expense of fire safety in our own province.
