Just before US President Trump's planned visit, China's trade is resilient. Export data suggests that an industry could even benefit from the energy crisis as a result of the Iran war.
In the People's Republic, both exports and imports rose by double digits compared to the previous month. Trade with the US also increased – despite the ongoing trade dispute. Hopes for a swift end to the conflict rest on a planned meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping next week.
The Iran conflict seems to be hardly against China's export growth. Trade policy will become important during the planned visit of US President – also for German companies.
