One year ago on Saturday, the sleepy Dallas County town of Fordyce with its population of about 3,300, was thrust brutally into the national spotlight when a man arrived at the Mad Butcher grocery store and opened fire with a 12-gauge shotgun and a 9mm pistol, killing four people and wounding almost a dozen others.
