"The Pot Was Out of Date for Four Months": an Intoxicated Baby After Eating a Product Purchased for Sale, Her Mother Had Not Checked the Date

A mother bought pots for her 12-month-old daughter in an Intermarket when they had expired since January 2025. Without checking the date, she gave one to her child who became ill.

The batch of small ham peas purchased on May 2 had been out of date for four months, reports Le Bien Public. The director of the sperm market acknowledged "a lack of stock control".

On May 2, a mother purchased baby food for her 12-month-old daughter at the Intermarché des Pré-Potets supermarket in Fontaine-lès-Dijon. The products were put on sale even though they had expired in January 2025 and caused mild food poisoning in the child.
