Following fatal dirt bike crash, officials remind importance of handling emergency situations

MITCHELL — A 26-year-old man from Guatemala died when the dirt bike he was driving at a local cycle club went off the track and crashed into a tree Sunday evening. Delmar Suret-Gomez, who was wearing a helmet and chest protector at the time of the crash, was transported via private vehicle from the James Valley Cycle Club and was intercepted via a Mitchell ambulance to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
