DeForest Decides to Add Fluoride to Drinking Water Again

The board reversed a 2024 removal decision after officials said replacing the system would cost about $4 million to $12 million.

Fluoride was widely introduced into American public water systems in the mid-20th century to reduce tooth decay, according to the National Institutes of Health.
