- While the Florida Democratic Party also opposes the measure earlier this week, Governor Ron DeSantis stated he is "not as enthused" about this amendment and will not lead any political group championing it.
- The amendment requires 60% voter approval during the November election, which would increase homestead exemptions to $150,000 this year and $250,000 by 2028 while capping assessment increases on other property at 5% annually.
