A Florida man has been charged in the theft of a $7,100 funeral stretcher from a south Alabama funeral home, and it’s not the first time police say he’s been linked to the bizarre crime. Ozark police on Friday announced charges against 58-year-old Christopher Michael Johnson, and said the investigation uncovered a sophisticated ring of similar crimes across the southeast including Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.
