- The TikTok clip, which circulated widely before being set to private, explicitly wished Leavitt a fourth-degree tear and was amplified by Libs of TikTok; Singer alerted hospital leadership and condemned the remarks.
- Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced Lawler cannot practice in Florida and urged the Florida Board of Nursing to revoke her license; a GoFundMe campaign had raised more than $5,000 as of Jan. 26.
- The incident prompted debate over political speech, professional ethics, and off-duty conduct limits, while requests for comment to the White House and Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital went unanswered on Jan. 24.
