As Rennes faced a potentially as strong flood as it was in 2025, the situation was tense on Thursday evening, February 19, in the Ill sector. An anti-flood dam was to be deployed at night to protect the area.

In Rennes and its surroundings, peaks could be reached in the next few hours, between tonight, 19 February and tomorrow, 20 February, water levels equivalent to those of January 2025. Level 3 of the communal backup plan has been activated.
