Three persons, suspected of several thefts of religious objects in the south-west, were arrested and held in pre-trial detention, announced on Thursday, 4 September, the Dax Public Prosecutor ' s Office. Since May, 27 thefts have been recorded in the region.
Three individuals will be tried on 27 October 2025 in the Dax Correctional Court for a series of robberies in churches in the Landes and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. They are being held in pre-trial detention and are being prosecuted for 28 aggravated thefts.
