Five states/UTs set for draft voter roll release Tuesday: ECI kicks off 'Claims and Objections' phase

The draft rolls include over 92% of voters in West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Puducherry with more than 58 lakh deletions in West Bengal alone, officials said.

  • More than tens of lakhs were deleted across States, including 24.16 lakh dead, 32.65 lakh shifted or absent, and 1.38 lakh multiply enrolled, causing Booth Level Officers work-related pressure and postponements.
