The number of industrial robots operating in factories around the world reached a record level of 5 million in 2025, up 9% from the previous year. Over 600,000 new robots were installed in a single year, on the basis of the acceleration of global industrial automation, according to figures published on Thursday by the International Robotics Federation (IFR).
The latest figures from the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) show that the number of new industrial robots in Denmark fell by 7 percent from 2024 to 2025. In Europe as a whole, the decline was 14.2 percent. On the other hand, installations in Asia grew by 14 percent and the USA by 9 percent, while the global market set a record with more than 600,000 installed industrial robots.
