In the Sauerland community Kirchhundem there is a first suspected case of African swine fever (ASP) in NRW.

A dead wild boar was found in the municipality of Kirchhundem in the Olpe district of North Rhine-Westphalia. Initial tests showed that it had tested positive for African swine fever (ASF).
