In Hong Kong, four pro-democracy opposition figures returned to freedom after more than three years of detention. Claudia Mo, Kwok Ka-ki, Jeremy Tam and Gary Fan, all former deputies, had been imprisoned in 2021 and sentenced last November to four years and two months in prison.
