Representatives approved a new ordinance on fireworks at a night meeting on Friday. It gives city districts the option to completely ban them on their territory. This was done by 20 out of 57 city districts. The proposal also limits the duration of the exemption for New Year's celebrations. According to city councilor Adam Zábranský (Pirates), the ordinance does not apply to professional fireworks.
