Fires merge into one enormous blaze north of Choiceland

First it was the “SHOE” fire, starting in early May and threatening the Narrow Hills Provincial Park and surrounding forest, vacation homes and infrastructure. Then came the “CAMP” fire, believed to be started by embers from “SHOE.” It grew quickly, dangerously close to the communities of Smeaton and Choiceland.
