Firefighters in Oregon responded to an Astoria home where a young deer somehow wound up stranded on the roof.

Firefighters are often called upon to rescue animals in unusual situations, but one Oregon department found itself responding to a call that was anything but ordinary: a baby deer stranded on a rooftop. The Astoria Fire Department shared photos from the July 4 rescue showing firefighters carefully removing the fawn from the roof and returning it safely to the ground.
