Firefighters and deputies make high water rescues

Columbus firefighters and the Bartholomew County Swift Water Rescue Team rescued several homeless people and their pets from rising waters on Clifty Creek last night. Firefighters say that the incident happened near County Road 850N and U.S. 31. Those in the rising waters were rescued and moved to safety after Columbus Firefighters deployed a boat.
