VALDESE, N.C. – A firefighter was injured while battling a house fire in Burke County on Saturday night. Firefighters responded to Mountain Ridge Circle in Valdese around 7:15 p.m. Crews quickly initiated an attack to put out the fire while also requesting more units to respond for additional fire suppression and manpower.
