Firebird secures mining lease for Oakover manganese project in Western Australia

Manganese reserves near Chvaletice in the Pardubice region have become a deposit of strategic importance. The government decided on Wednesday that the manganese in the location is of such a quality that it can subsequently produce products necessary for most lithium-ion batteries. The aim of the measure is to facilitate possible mining of the raw material in the future and prevent possible disruption of supplies.

Firebird Metals Ltd has been granted Mining Lease 52/1086 for the Oakover Manganese Project, located 85 km east of Newman.
