On Friday at approximately 2:50 p.m., the Kirkland Lake OPP assisted the District of Timiskaming Social Services Administration Board (DTSSAB) paramedics, along with Kirkland Lake Fire department in accessing a person in their 30’s who had fallen into the river in Swastika after rescuing their dog that had fallen through the ice.
