A fire broke out in a truck trailer at Veense Polder in Veen around three o'clock Friday morning. The trailer was parked next to the road. Extinguishing the trailer proved difficult for the fire department because the fire had spread. To extinguish the flames, firefighters had to cut holes in the side of the trailer. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Police have not ruled out the possibility that the fire was arson.
